Our Approach
We work with military leadership at the highest levels, whether it be a base commander or an individual commander, ensuring that we are in the right place at the right time.
Our goal is to be the celebratory meal of choice, upon the return from deployment. We have served all branches of the military, at various bases across the United States. From the submarine docks at Joint Base Pearl Harbor – Hickham to the parade grounds of Joint Base San Antonio – Fort Sam Houston, we have been there. When the family readiness groups come together, with moms and dads back holding their children’s hands, we are there to show our nation’s gratitude.
There is nothing better for us than to see a young family all in smiles as they walk back to their tables, bbq plates in one hand, cobblers in the other. We continue to reach out to those leaders across our armed forces, ensuring that we are there when we are needed, and are ready to help.

These meals remind our crew who we protect and why we train as hard as we do.
I cannot thank you enough for the excellence the Navy gets in return.
Easily the best brisket I have ever tasted
My husband was more excited about this meal than I have seen him in years! Thank you for everything you are doing!
I need to get the recipe for these ribs, they are amazing!
I am new to this ship, but I have heard the stories about this meal and can’t wait to try it myself.

Our History
Founded by three friends, A Warriors Table is the culmination of many years of working toward the same goal, just in different ways. Their passion for feeding the families of active duty military personnel had permeated their lives for over a decade when Lee Smith, Rhonda Wood, and Kenneth Rammrath formulated the vision for the organization. While they had worked on each other’s projects on and off for years, they also brought a different perspective to the table from their own experiences. It was time to bring them all together and point them in the same direction.
It had been on the grounds of Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s World Championship BBQ Cookoff in the mid-1990’s that the three friends met for the first time, where their love of feeding people began. Over time, their arenas grew, stretching into the world of chuckwagon cooking, as well as invitations to cook for the military from various organizations. As their personal reputations grew, so did their invitations. Their work with HLSR’s Armed Forces Appreciation Committee gained them a wider network that led to new opportunities which they quickly took advantage of.
